Interplay

Interplay was composed for Pararo (Jeremy Wohletz , Clarinet and Mike Yunghans , Guitar) for their performance at ClarinetFest 2012 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

 

The title, ‘Interplay’, is derived from not only the dialogue between the two instruments, but also from the contrasting styles found within the work. The two main sections of the piece alternate swing and straight eight notes and are framed by a slow introduction and coda.
